What is the EUDR?
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) aims to reduce Europe’s contribution to global deforestation. It requires companies to ensure, through due diligence, that products placed on or exported to the EU market are:
- Legal;
- Free from deforestation or forest degradation after 31 December 2020.
It applies to products such as timber, rubber, palm oil, soy, beef, coffee, and cocoa.
What is FSC® EUDR Certification?
The FSC EUDR Regulatory Module is a voluntary and complementary solution to existing FSC certifications (Forest Management, Chain of Custody, Controlled Wood).
APCER (FSC® A000537) is accredited to certify the FSC® EUDR Regulatory Module, ensuring independent, impartial audits fully aligned with regulatory requirements, enabling companies to demonstrate solid compliance with the EUDR.

- Risk Assessment Framework (FSC-PRO-60-006b) – aligned with EUDR’s social and environmental criteria.
- FSC Trace (formerly FSC Blockchain) – digital platform enabling verification, real-time traceability, and geolocation data.
