In November 2025, Belém do Pará will become the world’s focal point as it hosts the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) - one of the most anticipated events on the global climate agenda.
The conference will bring together government leaders, businesses, international organizations, and civil society to discuss concrete pathways in the fight against climate change and to accelerate the commitments of the Paris Agreement.
COP30 aims to be a practical example of how sustainability principles can guide the organization of a major global event. For this reason, the organizers have chosen APCER as the independent partner responsible for assessing the event’s sustainability and verifying its carbon neutrality.
The verification will follow the requirements of ISO 14068-1, an international reference standard that establishes criteria to measure, report, and demonstrate carbon neutrality.
Through this partnership, COP30 reinforces its coherence: discussing the planet’s future while delivering an event that reflects, in every detail, a genuine commitment to sustainability.
APCER’s role ensures that the entire process is conducted with independence, technical rigor, and credibility, helping make COP30 a global example of climate responsibility.
