Dell Technologies Ireland is the first organisation to be certified under the NSAI and APCER partnership for innovation management systems certification in Ireland.
Dell Technologies Ireland has received ISO 56001 – Innovation Management System certification, at a ceremony held at Dell Technologies’ premises in Cork, Ireland.
The certification was awarded under the partnership established between the National Standards Authority of Ireland, NSAI, and APCER, developed to provide organisations in Ireland with a direct pathway to innovation management systems certification under ISO 56001. This is the first certification issued under this partnership.
The ceremony was attended by Dell Technologies employees and by representatives of the organisations involved in the certification process. Representing Dell Technologies were John Ryan, Vice President; Alan O’Flynn, General Manager, Cork Manufacturing Operations; and Martin O’Flaherty, Program Manager. APCER was represented by Rui Oliveira, COO, and NSAI by Stewart Hickey, Head – Business Excellence, Certification.
ISO 56001 is the first international requirements standard for innovation management systems. Its application enables organisations to structure, manage and systematically improve their innovation processes, helping to strengthen competitiveness, productivity, the ability to develop new products, services and business models, and the sustained creation of value.
Dell Technologies Ireland is the first organisation to be certified under this partnership between NSAI and APCER, and is also the first Dell Technologies site worldwide to achieve ISO 56001 certification. Ireland therefore takes on a pioneering role in this journey, as a strategic location for Dell Technologies and for the development of capabilities associated with innovation.
For APCER, this certification reinforces the importance of ISO 56001 as a tool for strengthening the credibility of innovation within organisations and demonstrates the value of international cooperation between standardisation and certification bodies. The partnership between NSAI and APCER combines NSAI’s national role in Ireland with APCER’s international experience in management systems certification, providing organisations with a recognised solution aligned with international best practice.
APCER congratulates Dell Technologies Ireland on this recognition, thanks NSAI for its collaboration on this project, and acknowledges the involvement of the Dell Technologies teams who contributed to this milestone in innovation management.
NSAI and APCER are both members of IQNET, an international certification network. Organisations that are certified to ISO 56001 through this new partnership, will also benefit from IQNET-recognised certification.
