The FSSC 22000 V4.1 standard is undergoing a revision, and version 5 is expected to be published in May 2019. This revision is due to the publication of ISO 22000:2018, the inclusion of decisions from the Board of Stakeholders, compliance with GFSI requirements, and ongoing improvements to this certification scheme.
Validity of FSSC 22000 V4.1
Audits according to version 4.1 of the FSSC 22000 standard can be carried out until December 31, 2019, and all issued FSSC 22000 V4.1 certificates will become null and void after June 2021.
Audits according to the new version, FSSC 22000 V5, must be carried out between January 1 and December 31 of 2020.

The FSSC 22000 category with the greatest number of certifications is FSSC Food, followed by FSSC Packaging and FSSC Biochemicals. The remaining certifications are distributed among the categories of Feed, Catering, Retail & Wholesale, Transport & Storage and Animal Farming.
