On 26 May, APCER held a new calibration meeting for its auditors in China, reinforcing its commitment to technical excellence, process integrity and alignment with international best practices in auditing.
This strategic meeting was designed to ensure consistency in the application of audit frameworks, encourage knowledge sharing among teams, and prepare auditors for the current challenges of social responsibility in global supply chains.
A technically demanding and diverse agenda
The meeting featured a robust and multifaceted programme:
- Institutional presentation of APCER, delivered by André Ramos, Marketing Director, focusing on the organisation’s global mission and approach to the Asian market;
- Updates on the amfori BSCI scheme, presented by Susana Pacheco, highlighting the initiative’s increasing requirements and emerging trends in social responsibility audits;
- Analysis of key non-conformities identified in 2024 BSCI audits in China, with practical examples encouraging critical reflection on performance patterns and mitigation practices;
- Case study discussions, based on the review of real audit reports and aimed at continuous improvement, led by Winnie Le, Audit Report Reviewer;
- SMETA 7.0 scheme updates, presented by Ally Teng, with a focus on the most impactful changes and their operational implications for field auditors;
- Presentation of new products in APCER China's portfolio, showcasing innovation and adaptation to the local market, delivered by Susana Pacheco in her role as Product Manager for the Supply Chain area;
- Strategic outlook for 2025, shared by Hallie Xiao, General Manager of APCER China, covering operational priorities and new opportunities in a constantly evolving market.
